Children and youth are carrying heavier loads, and it’s showing up everywhere - big early-years behaviours, rising anxiety and shutdown, conflict, bullying, slipping attendance, and young people disconnecting from learning and belonging - while educators, EAs, before-and-after school teams, clinicians, and parents are being asked to do more with less.

In the Shanker Self-Reg® Framework, Co-Reg isn’t a calmer path to compliance; it’s a neurobiological process of synchrony - interbrain - working across the five domains (biological, emotion, cognitive, social, prosocial), where our state, tone, pacing, and presence can either escalate or settle a space, restoring capacity so behaviour shifts and learning returns as a byproduct.
